Dr. Lakhankar played a significant role in organizing two international conferences on climate change and agriculture in India and Nepal in January 2017. The first conference was the International Conference on Biodiversity, Climate Change, and Impacts on Livelihood, held in Kathmandu, Nepal from January 10-12, 2017. Dr. Lakhankar served as a member of the organizing committee and convener of the conference. The conference aimed to bring together researchers, academics, and experts from different fields to discuss the impacts of climate change on biodiversity, the environment, and livelihoods.
The second conference was the International Conference on Technological Advances in Climate-Smart Agriculture & Sustainability, held in Nanded, India from January 16-18, 2017. Dr. Lakhankar was again a member of the organizing committee and served as the convener of the conference. The focus of the conference was on exploring technological advances in climate-smart agriculture, and how these advances can contribute to sustainable agriculture practices. The conference brought together researchers, academics, and experts from different countries to share their knowledge and experiences in climate-smart agriculture.
Apart from serving as the convener of the two international conferences, Dr. Lakhankar was also invited as the Chief Guest and delivered the Keynote address for the International Conference on Recent Trends in Engineering and Science (ICRTES-2017) held on January 20-21, 2017, in Jalagon, Maharashtra. The conference aimed to bring together researchers, academicians, and industry professionals to discuss the latest developments in engineering and science, including cutting-edge research and emerging technologies.
These conferences provided a platform for experts from different fields to come together, share their knowledge and experiences, and discuss innovative solutions to address the challenges posed by climate change and its impact on livelihoods, agriculture, and the environment.
